A Walk On the Wild Side.
We’ll go for an 1 1/2 hour walk with local herbalist Larkin Child Morgan and find out what culinary and medicinal treasures are hidden in our own backyards! Wear sturdy shoes & sun protection and bring a water bottle. Meet at the accordion player statue in La Plaza Park at 10:30 and get ready to learn how to save the world...one dandelion at a time. By donation.
Larkin has cultivated a passion for plants and healing since her youth. As a child she developed a very personal connection with the yarrow, nettle, and raspberry that grew wild in her Alaskan home. These same friends became the healing companions Achillea millefolium, Urtica dioica and Rubus idaeus of her adulthood. Larkin has been a student, medicine maker and teacher in Sonoma County for 10 years. Her practice of community herbalism focuses on education and empowerment. It is her joy to introduce people to the ordinary weedy plants that are always under foot.
